It’s not a tribute to true rock ‘n’ roll – it’s the real deal, and a perfect example of what an authentic rock ‘n’ roll record should sound like, from its simple production values (recorded and mixed in Bonham Estudios, Spain) to its undeniable raw energy. Rut’s lyrics about independence, insecurity, sex, bad feelings and danger could easily come off as a cliché from less committed lips, but anyone can tell she has too much credibility for that to happen.
