Description
‘It’s Only Rock ‘N Roll’ is the 12th British and 14th American studio album by English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on October 18, 1974. It was the last Rolling Stones album to feature guitarist Mick Taylor and the songwriting and recording of the album’s title track included Taylor’s eventual replacement, Ronnie Wood. The album was an important transitional album for the band, combining the core blues and rock ‘n’ roll-oriented sound with elements of funk and reggae. ‘It’s Only Rock ‘N Roll’ reached number one in the US Billboard and number two in the UK album chart. The album cover image, by Belgian painter Guy Peellaert, features the band as “rock deities”, descending a temple staircase, surrounded by young girls and women worshipping them in Grecian clothing. The album artwork is now available as a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle printed on high quality board.
